To some it may seem<\/em> to come naturally, but you can bet they spent ages on each post and probably still struggled to broadcast it to the world.<\/p>\n Nothing is perfect. But if you want to use your blog as a way to help promote your holiday rental online, you need to come some way close to writing valuable\u00a0<\/em>articles\u00a0as often as possible.<\/p>\n So here are some tips to help you get there …<\/p>\n 1 Write freely<\/strong><\/p>\n Don\u2019t worry about perfection to start with\u00a0– if\u00a0you have a great idea for a post, write it.<\/p>\n Let the words flow without making any edits. And will allow your blog to stand out from anyone else’s.<\/p>\n Your voice is unique – if you allow it to be so.<\/p>\n So find it and use it!<\/p>\n It can take a little time to stop being inspired, or directed by other people’s blog posts. To come up with ideas\u00a0you\u00a0<\/em>think your\u00a0<\/em>target audience will want to read, and have confidence in your ability.<\/p>\n But when it happens, it\u2019s a great moment.<\/p>\n If you<\/em> know you’ve got great information that’s of value to your target market, sit down and find the words that work to help you promote your holiday rental.<\/p>\n 3 Edit, edit, edit<\/strong><\/p>\n Often considered the boring bit, but in actual fact, I find the editing process enjoyable.<\/p>\n It’s the time when you can turn a good blog post into something great!<\/p>\n So always remember to factor this time in. No article should be written and posted the same day. Not in an ideal world anyway.<\/p>\n Write it. Leave it. Sleep on it. Then come back to it\u00a0with a fresh head.<\/p>\n Did you get all the points across that you intended to?<\/p>\n And the ultimate question you should ask yourself is – would it make you want to book a holiday at that property?<\/strong><\/p>\n If not, why not?<\/p>\n Then make changes.<\/p>\n And finally, know where your weaknesses are. Use a spellcheck if you need one. Use a grammar tool as well if you like.<\/p>\n Just don\u2019t knock your character and personality out of the article – it needs to be a quality article, but it still needs to be you.<\/p>\n 4 Be on the look-out for ideas<\/strong><\/p>\n Maintaining a blog requires a constant stream of ideas.<\/p>\n There are literally hundreds of ideas when it comes to holiday rental blogs<\/a>, but if you do start falling short, focus on ways to appeal to your target customer …<\/p>\n Put yourself in their shoes – why would they book with you? What are they looking for \u2013 and can you offer it?<\/p>\n Blog posts don\u2019t always have to be long missives exploring every detail of something.<\/p>\n Short, sharp and powerful posts can work just as well. In fact, I would say at times, short articles work even better.<\/p>\n Perhaps your holiday rental garden is a buzz of bird life activity … why not take some pictures, find out their names and write an article about them.<\/p>\n Short and succinct.<\/p>\n That one article will appeal to the masses of bird-lovers out there.
