More than that, you want it to be found by the right people – those who might want to book a holiday at your accommodation.

You probably already know you shouldn’t write content while shoehorning in keywords in an unnatural manner. The cookie-cutter rule of plopping one keyword in a specific number of times doesn’t fly anymore.

By writing more frequently, however, you’ll naturally get more keywords in there.

You’ll also get more long-tail keywords and phrases included in your content, and that makes it easier to ensure you can be found for those words and phrases too.

Don’t think about this too much – just know the more you write and add to your holiday let website, the greater the chances are of being found in searches.

2: People are more likely to follow a blogger who posts regularly than one who doesn’t

I know – you probably think of yourself as a holiday rental owner, rather than a blogger. But if you use blogging to help promote your holiday let, that makes you a blogger as well.

Some people will always book a holiday rental property over staying in a hotel, on a campsite or on a holiday site. So you want to appeal to those people, and blogging valuable content regularly should help get your message in front of them at the right time.

3: Your site will be crawled more often and show up in more searches

This is also connected to the first point we made above. However, it’s worth mentioning that Google and other search engines notice when a site is regularly updated, as opposed to those that aren’t. A site that has content added to it often will be crawled more frequently and might therefore achieve higher search engine rankings when compared to sites that are standing idle.

This is basically your way of standing on a chair in the middle of a large crowd, waving a flag and saying ‘Hey! I’m here!’ It’s a rudimentary example, but you get the idea.

You need to do everything you can to stand out from the crowd, and adding regular content is one way to get the search engines on your side. Providing, of course, the content is good and has worthwhile information for the target audience.

So hopefully you now feel more inspired by the prospect of writing your blog posts. Of course, it doesn’t make the actual writing any easier, but when you know what the end result could be, it could spur you on to achieve more than you would have done previously.

Do you still need some motivation to write blog posts for your holiday rental website?
