Don\u2019t take photos in strong sunlight<\/strong><\/p>\n In other words, avoid taking photos after 11am and wait until at least 3pm before attempting anything. When the sun is at its highest on a sunny day, you\u2019ll struggle to make the light work for you. There is precious little in the way of shadows too, and that means you\u2019ll find it hard to display your property in the best light (if you\u2019d excuse the pun).<\/p>\n Either shoot early, or wait until after 3pm, and get the light behind you to make the most of your images.<\/p>\n Experiment with the horizon<\/strong><\/p>\n Do you always take a photo with the horizon right through the middle of the shot? It may be doing you a disservice. You might just be surprised at how much more powerful a photo can be if you raise or lower the horizon a bit.<\/p>\n The great thing about camera phones or modern DSLR cameras is that they allow you to take as many shots as you like without worrying about wasting film. Make sure you do so, and adjust the level of the horizon in each one. Experiment with the focal point too \u2013 the main point each photo focuses on. Small changes like these can lead to big results.<\/p>\n Experiment with angles<\/strong><\/p>\n Don\u2019t simply take a photo of your holiday let property straight on. Try some different angles. Basically, if you\u2019ve never taken a photo standing in a specific spot before, try it. See what happens.<\/p>\n The first thing you\u2019ll notice is that taking a photo while standing directly in front of or behind your property is that the resulting image can look flat. If you stand off to one side, you\u2019ve suddenly got some impressive angles to look at and work with. This can add great depth to your image. When you add this to the adjustment of the horizon and a weaker light adding longer shadows to your image, you could be onto a winner.<\/p>\n By putting all three elements into play \u2013 you\u2019ll notice how they all work nicely together \u2013 you could well end up enjoying a much better set of photos to put on your holiday let website. Even if you aren\u2019t a beginner, applying these different elements can change the whole look of your pictures.<\/p>\n A photo can be good but it won\u2019t necessarily grab the attention.
