Why You Should Regularly Update Your Holiday Rental Website Content

If you want more traffic for your website, you need to update it as often as you can. Some holiday rental owners create a site, populating it with the most important facts and photos, and do nothing else. This leads to a stale and tired website – not one that will attract traffic.

Here are some tips on how to keep the traffic coming in on a regular basis.

Add relevant seasonal information

If you make your holiday rental available all year round, provide seasonal information in advance. For example, share information on festive goings on in the local area in the run up to Christmas. Mention events that take place at certain times of the year. Focus on nearby attractions and the events they have planned each month as well. You could even add a calendar of events to make this information easily accessible.

Create regular promotions

Regular promotions will attract more attention to your holiday let. You can tie them into forthcoming events or occasions to get more relevant seasonal traffic too.

For instance you could offer a Christmas break for two people for a set price over a certain number of days. Other possibilities include summer holidays with the kids (perhaps featuring free attraction tickets) and romantic weekends away for couples.

Create and develop an FAQ section

People looking to rent your holiday let will often have questions about it. Don’t just answer these on a one to one basis. Make sure you list the question and answer on your website each time you respond to a query. Over time it will build into a useful resource people can refer to.

Request feedback

Not all fresh content has to be added by you. Open up a comments and testimonials section so former customers can leave comments on how they enjoyed their stay. Be sure to monitor this on a regular basis so you can respond to any queries or comments people make.

Plan ahead

The best way to ensure you always have ideas for regular content to add to your site is to plan ahead. Get a diary or notepad and jot down one or two ideas for content to add on a weekly basis. This allows you to plan for specific occasions and events you will need to create content for in advance.

While keywords and good titles will help attract the right traffic, the quality of the content matters most. Always be sure to revise and edit your content before adding it to your website. You should also ensure you know what each fresh piece of content is trying to achieve, so you get the best results every time.
