Just to let you know, we recently updated the website builder to allow you to use a third party availability calendar for your holiday accommodation website.
Not that there’s anything wrong with the PromoteMyPlace calendar, but we know some of you are already using third party services and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to keep your website up to date.
If you would like to use a different calendar on your website, you have two choices:
- You can switch off the PMP availability calendar and simply include a link to your existing calendar in the intro text of the availability page. We suggest you set the link to open in a new window, so that website visitors don’t lose your website.
- You can embed your calendar directly into the page. This option will only look good if there is nothing else on your calendar page besides the calendar itself. You may also have to play around with the width and height settings to get it to display correctly.
To do this, go to ‘Edit Website Content’, click on the ‘Availability’ tab, select ‘Use third party availability calendar’ and enter the URL of your calendar. If when you preview the calendar it does not show properly you can change the width and height settings to make it fit.
We hope you like this new feature.
