It doesn’t matter how much you love your blog, you’re bound to feel jaded at times, running out of things to write and wondering how to engage with your audience.
Your holiday let deserves a great blog to help promote it, which is why you need to find some solutions if you are feeling bored and disillusioned with it.
Fortunately, we’ve come up with some suggestions to get you back in the groove once again. Try some of these and see what you think.
Can you perk up your blog categories?
When you started your holiday rental blog, you probably came up with a few categories and left it at that. Could you add some new ones now to refresh things a bit?
Don’t overdo it, but see if you could add one or two that would give you access to more areas to write about.
Look back at your oldest posts
Everyone who starts a blog feels energised and excited at the prospect. This shows in the early posts. But it can fade as time goes on. So, look back at the first posts you wrote and see how you wrote them.
Do they still inspire you?
What did you write about and how did you write it?
Be inspired and use that to steer your next batch of posts in the right direction.
Make yourself accountable
They say practice makes perfect, and it will if you blog regularly. If you’ve felt uninspired by your holiday rental blog, chances are you haven’t been writing it for a while.
Make a positive change by setting an achievable schedule each week. Maybe only one or two posts a week will be good to start with – make it something you can achieve without too much hassle.
Fall back on photos
A photo speaks a thousand words, right? So, there’s nothing wrong with posting a large, striking photo with just a couple of descriptive paragraphs underneath it. You shouldn’t do this all the time, but you can use it to enhance the visual side of your blog and mix up the posts a bit too.
Write at a time when you’re at your most alert
For some, this could be 5am. For others, it might be at the end of the day as the clock approaches midnight. One thing’s for sure, though – blogging is easier when you feel alert and ready to tackle it. If you’re tired and grouchy, you won’t feel inspired to write anything.
Give yourself the best chance to succeed with better blog posts by finding your best time to write.
What will work for you?
Try working through all the suggestions above; chances are, you’ll come up with a few more ideas of your own to trigger some improvements and inspiration to pour into your blog.
Whatever you do, make sure you persevere. Your blog is a crucial part of your holiday let website and it can achieve more than you’d think.
