It’s natural to want more bookings for your holiday rental property. One of the best ways of doing this is to make some improvements to your website. In fact there are four things you can change to increase your bookings, and we go through each of them in turn below.
1. Increase the number of good quality photos on your site
Content is important to all websites, there’s no doubt about that. However photos are just as important when you are promoting your holiday let. People want to see what your property looks like and what it has to offer. Go through all your photos and check their quality to ensure they are clear and sharp. There may also be areas you haven’t provided photos for that would help sell the holiday rental further.
2. Increase the number of guest comments and reviews
This is a great way of showing potential guests that previous guests have had good opinions about their stay. Make sure you ask for comments from guests when they leave your property, so you have further reviews to add to your site in future. The more positive comments potential guests have to read, the more likely it is they will be suitably impressed by your property and take steps to make a booking.
3. Display a location map so people know where your property is
Of course people can do their own research to find out exactly where your holiday let is and what’s in the surrounding area. However, wouldn’t it be much easier if you provided this information for them? You can do just that by including a Google map on your website. This means people can see where it is located and what attractions and destinations are nearby. It enables them to plan their visit more easily – and it keeps them on your website as well.
4. Provide as much information as possible about the local area
This really stems from the previous point. It enables you to build on the location information you have already provided them with. You know exactly where your holiday rental is and what’s available to see and do nearby. All you have to do is pass this information on to your website visitors. This makes it easier for them to imagine what kind of holiday they would have if they were to choose your holiday let over any other one.
As you can see, these methods have two purposes. Firstly they make it easier for people to see exactly what they would get from your property. Secondly they provide all the information people need to make a decision about whether to make a booking. The last thing you want is for them to go to another website to find out what they can see and do in the area, only for them to stumble across another property and never come back.
By following these essential tips you can increase the bookings for your holiday rental very easily indeed.
